Paste button non-functional with misleading counter

The Paste button increments a 'Pasted N times' counter but does not reliably paste the selected item into the target application. The counter gives false confirmation of success while the paste operation silently fails or pastes into an unintended window. Behavior was inconsistent across multiple attempts.
