Template button overlap on header, window unusable on small resolution

First time user. I’m using this on a 1024×768 square, scaled from 4:3 to 1:1. ( panasonic toughbook). On main screen, clicking the template button, only the lower right area of the template window appears. Handles to expand the main window to the left fail and no handles for the templates window appear, seems it’s static or handleless. So cannot access it. funnily, screenshot util here also doesn’t allow it for different reasons.
